ELI & SONAM

INDIAN-JEWISH FUSION WEDDING | HILTON AT EASTON COLUMBUS

HILTON HOTEL AT EASTON

COLUMBUS OHIO

Every wedding is unique, and I know everyone says that but it’s true. Every wedding has that little bit of something that makes it one of a kind. Whether is people, cultures, food, location, or decorations. Every wedding has its thing.
Eli & Sonam’s was unique in almost every way.

Let’s start with their Sangeet. The night before the wedding ceremony is a big party full of performances by the couple, the parents, the bridesmaids, the groomsmen, and other family members.

WEDDING DAY

Soman and Eli exchanged letters and gifts the morning of their wedding. Little things like this add so much emotional value to your day, and I absolutely love how their letters elevated their photos and video!

Sonam’s red and gold saree was spectacular, to say the least,
and the way that it perfectly blended with her henna was the stuff you see only in the movies!!

Their first “first look” of the day. With them having an Indian and Jewish ceremony I was incredibly lucky to witness
and document both of them. You would think that maybe having two first looks might take away emotion from one or the other, but you’d be wrong! Keep scrolling to see their second first look, and then the walking down the aisle look ;)

Baraat time! If you are wondering what a baraat is, the baraat is the groom’s procession to the wedding ceremony. Beyond that, the baraat is an outdoor party for the groom. Sonam’s cousin made sure everyone was having a good time by handing shots out of a backpack. Don’t worry he later apologized to all the aunties for the shenanigans.

Once Eli arrived at the west entrance of the hotel he got off his horse and partied for a little bit with Sonam’s mom, dad, and other family and friends before entering the ceremony.

Wedding day part two

Alright! Part two. After a brief break between events, we were back at it. Sonam and Eli prepared the most thoughtful gifts for their bridal party and for each other. The moment when Sonam opened her gift and read her letter from Eli was one of my favorite moments from this part of their day.

After a couple portraits we were on to our second “first look” of the day! This was just as emotional as the first one and how how I loved it! We were running tight on time because we had to make it to the Ketubah signing and then on to the wedding ceremony, so we did did all of our portraits in record time.

I asked them to give Rico (their dog) a little kiss and the photo op quickly changed to
Rico giving Sonam kisses.

Now, the ceremony. Everything was beautifully done regarding details, but the flowers were to die for!
Daley and her team from Daley Ket Events were responsible for the florals and she absolutely killed it!

You may think that having already had two “first looks” Eli would handle seeing Sonam coming down the aisle cool, calm, and collected, but you’d be wrong. Eli was just as emotional as he saw her making her way to the chuppah.

There are no words to describe the beauty of the reception space so I’ll leave you to enjoy the images on your own!
